Catalyst: Creative Quest
New Orleans, LA
We live in a world where artists are heralded as movers and shakers in the same breath as being demoted to world losers and forsakers. For some, this disconnect is a societal riff outside our realm of relevance. Yet for others, this conflict is deeply personal.
Catalyst: Creative Quest provides a Jewish experience that speaks to the “multi-potentialites” who feel like they are called to do different things. Ours will be a creative, artistic gathering in which we will come together to work through a passion project that we have neglected far too long.
True passion is often found at the crossroads of “your heart’s greatest gladness and the world’s greatest need.” This intersection may look different for many people, especially when the overlap feels unclear. How do they play out in our day-to-day lives, work, and happiness?
We will explore a creative quest that allows us to set ambitious goals around our passion projects and bring these ideas from birth through development and dissemination phases without needing to quit our day jobs. We will be grouped together to return with urgency and accountability to share our gifts and talents with others. Join us in the artistic hub of the South in New Orleans on September 16-18!
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Participants should be passionate about a creative endeavor outside of their day jobs, and excited about contributing to a continuous coaching collaborative community following the gathering. We seek a diverse cohort for this Catalyst, with participants from many geographic locations, trips and years, and personal, professional, and Jewish backgrounds.
