Be More: Reconnection and deepening relationships in Denver, hosted by Bobby Dishell
July 19, 2018 - July 23, 2018
People will arrive on Thursday evening. Friday we will spend time exploring the Google Boulder offices and seeing how a different and innovative spatial layout can interact with building community and our work space. We will spend time in nature, on an extended hike with a reflective and meditative component. We will engage in one-on-one discussions around past, present, and future actions and how they align with our values. We will also focus on communication abilities and accountability metrics for people when they are not physically in the same space. Friday night we will have a Shabbat dinner where we will take time to reflect and continue conversations from earlier. On Saturday we will spend time in different parts of Denver, exploring the food scene and how this relates to the changing community and rapid gentrification that we see in Denver. On Sunday, we will wrap up and depart! This space is grounded in Jewish values and working to effect positive change due to the reflective aspects of the program. We incorporate Jewish values through our Shabbat dinner. There will be discussions surrounding personal development, the US/Mexico border issues, social justice issues impacting the Denver, New York, Baltimore, and Seattle areas, and ways we can leverage our collective work to be our best selves.
